In his “Masters Remixed” series, ADP takes mostly Baroque paintings and augments them in a satirical way by changing and/or adding images seamlessly into the existing art. The goal is to stimulate thought on whatever topic ADP is addressing in the piece, whether it be childhood obesity, like in “BacDonald,” or the United State’s dependence on gasoline, as in “Madonna Del Petrolio.”
Far from being heavy, these paintings are wickedly humorous as well as being beautiful. ADP is also proud of the fact that they reintroduce new generations to these fabulous Baroque artists who are often forgotten. ADP’s most recent “Masters Remixed” paintings incorporate three dimensional elements to the canvases, such as 24 karat gold leaf, pearls and Swarovski crystals.
